Meet Ms. Robinson
I am a 1982 graduate of Prattville High School. In 1987, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Education (Distributive Education) with a Cooperative Education endorsement from Auburn University. I taught 10th-12th graders Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Advertising at Muscle Shoals Area Vocational Center in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In 1991, I moved back to Prattville. I accepted a position as a Career Advisor with the Educational Talent Search Program at John M. Patterson State Technical College in Montgomery, Alabama. In my role as Career Advisor, I assisted economically disadvantaged and first generation college students in Autauga, Butler, Elmore, Lowndes and Montgomery counties. I provided tutoring for the Alabama High School Graduation Exam, escorted students on college tours and assisted students with their admissions and financial aid paperwork. In 1995, I received a Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University-Montgomery. I have served as a Professional School Counselor at Phenix City Intermediate School (formerly Phenix City Middle School) for twenty-two years. I love children and consider counseling my calling. It is my belief that all children should be equipped with the necessary tools to be successful. I am just one step in their climb to success.
